Intercropping of Cauliflower With Sweet Gourd At Different Plant Population

Intercropping is a popular way to boost crop yield and profitability by maximizing the use of natural agricultural resources. A study was carried out establish arrangement for sweet gourd cauliflower intercropping systems. The experiment during two consecutive years 2019-20 2020-21 identify appropriate population with increased production profitability. Seven treatments viz. T1= Sole Sweet (2 m × 2 m), T2=100% + 3 rows 37.5% (60 cm 50 cm), T3=100% 23% 80 T4=100% 4 50% (50 T5=100% 31% T6=100% 5 (40 100 cm) T7=Sole Cauliflower cm). maximum equivalent (SGEY) 34.83 t ha-1 obtained from T4. gross return (Tk. 278640 ha-1), margin 180384 BCR (2.85) LER (1.40) were also observed T4 lowest in sole (T7). overall results revealed that among intercrop combinations 100% gourd+4 (T4) followed (T2) could be profitable system.
